about: Faux Romantic is the second of a pair of new EPs from Tom Thumb. While Creatures to Feed was restrained and used minimal tools, this is its doppelganger. It is real sounds run through the digital wringer, as well as some unreal sounds through same said wringer. Most of it is played on a keyboard. Some of it is loops and samples. There are a lot of delay modules at work here. A lot. But fear not, this music is not cold, clinical or lifeless. It's the 21st Century; computers are alive now. If you liked Creatures To Feed, you might even like this too. If you didn't, there's an even better chance you will. And there's a Cyndi Lauper cover. Everybody likes Cyndi Lauper.
